Welcome to the SILWise Manual
SILWise works out rent and board contributions for Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) houses. You describe your houses, the participants who live in them, and your running costs. SILWise checks the current Centrelink rates and gives you a clear figure for what each participant pays, ready to download as a PDF.
What SILWise does
Section titled “What SILWise does”- Keeps a library of your running costs in cost-centre sets, so every house is costed the same way.
- Stores your houses and the participants in each one, including their payment details.
- Calculates each participant’s rent and board against the current Centrelink rates and benchmarks.
- Saves each calculation as a scenario: a locked snapshot you can return to, compare, and share.
- Produces PDF rent and board schedules for the house and for each participant.
Finding your way around
Section titled “Finding your way around”- Getting started: from signing up to your first saved calculation.
- Concepts: the ideas the tool is built on, such as payment profiles, Centrelink benchmarks, cost-centre sets, and scenarios.
- Guides: step-by-step instructions, one task per page.
- Organisation: manage members, billing, activity and your account.
- Reference: rates, how calculations work, FAQs and a glossary.
