Billing and plans

SILWise offers four plans: Free, Growth, Professional, and Enterprise. Every organisation starts on Free when you create your account; no card is required.

All four plans give you the same tool: unlimited participants, unlimited users, and full access to every feature. What changes as you move up a tier is how many active houses you can run at once, and the level of support you get. Free carries a small house allowance, sized for a provider trying the tool out. Growth and Professional raise that allowance for a growing portfolio and add faster support, first by email, then as priority support. Enterprise removes the fixed ceiling: it scales to any portfolio size, adds a small charge for each active house above its base allowance, and includes onboarding assistance.

Paid plans are billed monthly. Exact prices are shown on the plan cards on the Billing page, since they can change over time.

Every plan except Enterprise caps how many active houses your organisation can run at once. “Active” means a house that is neither archived nor deleted - an archived house does not count towards the limit.

If you try to add a new house, or bring an archived one back into use, while you’re already at your plan’s cap, the action is blocked with a message telling you to upgrade. If your active house count ends up above your plan’s cap for any other reason, for example after downgrading, your organisation goes read-only: you can’t create or edit houses, participants, or calculations, though archiving is still allowed, since it’s the way back under the limit. See archive a house for how.

Only an organisation owner or admin can change the plan, start a subscription, or open the billing portal. Anyone else who opens the Billing page sees a message asking them to contact an owner or admin instead. See members and roles for how those roles are assigned.

If your organisation isn’t subscribed yet, an owner or admin picks a paid plan card on the Billing page and selects Subscribe. This opens a secure checkout, and once it completes, your organisation moves to that plan straight away: the Current plan badge moves to the new card and your house limit updates immediately.

If your organisation already has an active subscription, plan changes don’t happen on this page. Select Manage billing instead, which opens the billing portal, where you can move to a different plan, update your card, or cancel.

Invoices, card updates, and cancellations are all handled in one place: select Manage billing on the Billing page to open the portal. Past invoices are available there to view or download at any time.
